Sound insulation for transformers

SONEX®T: Noise protection for transformers

Noise emissions during transformation processes are a burden on the environment and therefore also on people.

We, G+H Noise Control, have developed three innovative solution concepts that reduce disruptive noise emissions from transformers (< 60 Hz) according to individual customer requirements in such a way that the guide values required by § 48 of the Federal Immission Control Act are complied with.

G+H Noise Control thus makes a significant contribution to the more self-sufficient siting of substations – to the benefit of grid operators.

Now also with fire protection classification

SONEX® T has successfully passed the fire test.

In the classification report dated 8 June 2021, the product’s fire resistance was confirmed as EI 90 (without butt joint bandage) to EI 120 (with butt joint bandage).

Versions

Direct element attachment

Transformer systems in residential areas must be particularly quiet.

G+H Noise Control has developed the “direct element attachment” especially for these requirements.

Sound houses

This system offers the highest level of sound insulation.

Thanks to its design, maintenance work can be carried out without any problems.

Shielding walls

This variant can be used to shield small and large substations.

Another advantage is that the transformers do not require any additional ventilation.
