From barracks to attractive urban neighbourhood

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the insulation and fire protection work for the new Lagarde-Campus neighbourhood in Bamberg neighbourhood!

Until 2014, the 22.5-hectare site served as a barracks for the American armed forces. Today, the city of Bamberg is pursuing the goal of transforming the site into a vibrant urban neighbourhood. Stadtwerke Bamberg is playing a key role in this process and is using innovative heating and mobility concepts to ensure that one of Germany’s largest inner-city infrastructure projects is supplied in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner.

As part of this project, our Bamberg branch successfully implemented the insulation of the substations, including hot and cold water pipes, heating systems and cooling and ventilation systems. We also carried out the fire protection work. We are proud to be involved in the creation of the new Bamberg district and would like to thank our long-standing partners Lechner Walsdorf and Albert und Bergmann Stegaurach for their trust.
